HOW TO PREPARE FOR YOUR IN-HOME SESSION
A little preparation goes a long way—but nothing needs to be perfect. The goal is to create a relaxed environment so you can focus on being present.
1. Tidy, don’t deep clean
A quick straighten-up of the main areas we’ll use is more than enough. Clear surfaces of everyday clutter if you can, but don’t stress over details—those won’t be the focus.
2. Let the light in
Open curtains and blinds before I arrive to allow in as much natural light as possible. I’ll guide you to the areas that photograph best once I’m there.
3. Keep outfits simple
Neutral, soft tones photograph beautifully indoors. Think creams, warm whites, soft grays, muted earth tones, or gentle pastels. Avoid bold patterns or logos so the focus stays on connection.
4. Choose comfort over perfection
Wear something you can move, sit, and cuddle in comfortably. When you feel at ease, it shows in the images.
5. Plan around your rhythm
For families with little ones, try to schedule sessions around naps or feedings when possible—but flexibility is built in. Breaks are always welcome.
6. Trust the process
You don’t need to know how to pose or what to do. I’ll gently guide you and help create space for natural moments to unfold.
